We went to this restaurant (@casa_nanban) on a weeks lunch. The room is simple and small and one may doubt what’s coming next. The truth is that this restaurant might be one of the hidden gems of the japanese food in Lisbon. Offering a set of lunch menus with nice options (miso, gyosas, set of sushi sashimi or hot plate) and a big menu with a la carte options, this house was a really nice surprise. We went for one of the menus, offering traditional sushi sashimi, including otoro, salmon belly and nicely served nigiris; and extended our experience with some a la carte specialties like the cucumber sweet roll with no rice on it filled with tempura. Everything was very well served, with fresh fish and very well presented. To finish we had an assortment of chocolate truffles, the perfect ending. If we could change something it would be the service - although always helpful and friendly, it was a bit slow as only one waiter was in the room. For sure a place to visit again and try it with our zomato gold card (@zomatogold).
